To show up in Google's AI Overviews, you mostly need to win the normal search results for that question and answer it clearly. Google pulls AI Overview sources from pages already ranking well, so good SEO is the path in, not a separate trick.
Google has said plainly that AI Overviews draw from strong organic results, and that you do not need a separate playbook to be included. The pages that rank and answer the question are the ones it quotes.
So the work is the same work that ranks any page well, pointed at the questions where an AI Overview shows up.
There is a lot of hype selling "AI Overview optimization" as magic. It is not. If a consultant promises a secret lever, be careful. The real lever is being the clearest, most trusted answer. That is the work I do, and it is why I do not sell tricks.
Proof should sit near the claims it supports. These recommendations give buyers a clearer reason to trust the work.

Mostly no. Google itself says normal SEO is the way in. A few things help on top, like answering follow-ups and being quotable, but there is no separate magic. See is GEO the new SEO.
AI Overviews are selective and change often. Ranking is the requirement, not a promise. Pages that answer the exact question cleanly and cover the follow-ups get pulled in more often.
Sometimes. That is why I focus on questions where being the cited brand still drives action, and pair it with pages that earn the click and the lead.
