So the work is the same work that ranks any page well, pointed at the questions where an AI Overview shows up.
What actually helps you get pulled in
- Rank on page one for the question. AI Overviews favor pages already trusted.
- Answer the exact question in a clean sentence near the top.
- Cover the follow-up questions on the same page, so you match more of the overview.
- Use clear headings and real specifics the overview can lift.
The honest part most pages skip
There is a lot of hype selling "AI Overview optimization" as magic. It is not. If a consultant promises a secret lever, be careful. The real lever is being the clearest, most trusted answer. That is the work I do, and it is why I do not sell tricks.
